Air Conditioning Updates for a Home Remodel Project

Coral AC Trusted HVAC Experts Serving Cape Coral, Florida

We’re taking you “behind-the-scenes” to see the air conditioning updates we completed for a client’s home remodel project recently! Coral Air Conditioning owner Paul Elya relocated an AC system and installed all new duct work while the home was torn down to the studs.

New Duct Work

The remodel consisted of moving walls and entire rooms around, so we had to move the ducts around with them. We removed all branch lines from existing supply and return trunk lines. We also ran new flex duct to the new rooms.

Relocating the Air Handler

The air handler was located in the room that will become the new kitchen. We relocated it to the new utility closet in the home.

The air handler is now out of the way in the utility closet on a platform, to make way for the new kitchen!

Cleaning the Evaporator Coil

We cleaned the evaporator coil while the air handler was taken apart. During the 30-point inspection that’s included with our maintenance plans, we check the evaporator coil to see if it needs to be cleaned like this one. You can read more about our maintenance plans here:
